The Naval Intelligence Foundation/Naval Intelligence Professionals/Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association Naval Intelligence Essay Contest Award

The Naval Intelligence Foundation (NIF)/Naval Intelligence Professionals (NIP)/Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) Naval Intelligence Essay Contest Award was established in 2002 to recognize the best essay on any subject pertaining to maritime intelligence or intelligence support to naval forces. Any author, officer, enlisted, military or civilian, foreign or domestic, is eligible. NIF and NIP, in conjunction with the AFCEA Intelligence Committee select the winning essay(s).  The first place essay will be published in the NIP Quarterly and may be published in Signal magazine. The author will receive a commemorative wall plaque, a cash prize, and 5-year membership in NIP. The 2nd Place author will receive a smaller cash prize and a 1-year membership in NIP. This award was previously known as the NIF-US Naval Institute Essay Contest Award.
