Current Showers Awardees
CAPT David Warshawsky, USN (ret), presented ENS Charles M Trausch, USN, with the Naval Intelligence Foundation’s RADM Donald M. Showers Award at NMITC’s NIOBC graduation ceremony on 7 May, 2010. Earning a GPA of 96.72%, ENS Trausch was selected as the class Honor Graduate and will receive a five-year membership in Naval Intelligence Professionals. He completed the 20-week NIOBC curriculum alongside twelve active duty and reserve counterparts. ENS Trausch will report to Fallon, NV as part of the Fleet Intelligence Detachment as an Assistance Targeteer.

On Friday, 02 April 2010, the Navy and Marine Corps Intelligence Training Center (NMITC) graduated its second Naval Intelligence Officer Basic Course (NIOBC) of the year. There were 18 graduates, four of whom were lateral transfers from the submarine, surface, and aviation communities and even an engineering duty officer from the US Army. CAPT Dave Warshawsky, USN (ret) presented the Naval Intelligence Foundation’s (NIF) RADM Donald M. Showers Award to ENS Gregory Chasse. Earning a GPA of 97.52%, ENS Chasse was selected as the class Honor Graduate and will receive a five-year membership in Naval Intelligence Professionals. ENS Chasse is reporting to CVW-8 as assistant targeteer.

CAPT David Warshawsky, USN (ret.), presented LT Allison M. Bergquist, USN, with the Naval Intelligence Foundation’s RADM Donald M. Showers Award at NMITC’s NIOBC graduation ceremony on 5 February, 2010. Earning a GPA of 96.91%, LT Bergquist was selected as the class Honor Graduate and will receive a five-year membership in Naval Intelligence Professionals. She completed the 20-week NIOBC curriculum alongside twenty-eight counterparts. LT Bergquist will soon deploy as an Individual Augmentee to Afghanistan. LT Bergquist is a graduate of the Air Force Academy, and hails from Rutland, Vermont.
