2009 VADM Rufus L. Taylor NMITC Awardee

2009 CNO  VADM Rufus L. Taylor Award for Excellence in Instruction

GYSGT Raymond A. Boyce, USMC received the Naval Intelligence Foundation’s (NIF) Vice Admiral Rufus L. Taylor Award at the Navy and Marine Corps Intelligence Training Center (NMITC) in Dam Neck, VA on 23 June 2009. NMITC Commanding Officer CAPT Elizabeth Train, USN and NIF representative CAPT Mark Greer, USN (ret) presented the award in recognition of GYSGT Boyce’s many accomplishments at NMITC as primary instructor or two separate course teams, the MAGTF Intelligence Specialist Entry-level Course (MISEC) and  the Air Intelligence Officer Course (AIOC) where he served in a Captain’s billet.

The award consists of a commemorative wall plaque, an engraved “spy” telescope, and a 5-year membership in the Naval Intelligence Professionals. GYSGT Boyce’s name will also join all previous NMITC winners of this award on a permanent plaque which is on display adjacent to a display recognizing VADM Taylor’s contributions to Naval Intelligence.
