On 13 March 2013, VADM Gerald R. Beamen, USN, Commander, THIRD Fleet, and CAPT Chris Bott, USN (ret), representing the Naval Intelligence Professionals (NIP) Foundation Committee, presented LT Kreg A. Lesage, USN with the NIP Rear Admiral Thomas A. Brooks Award as the Afloat Junior Intelligence Officer of the Year during a ceremony at Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit ONE in San Diego, CA. The award consisted of an engraved plaque and a 5-year membership in NIP. VADM Beamen also presented LT Lesage with the accompanying Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal.

The award consists of an engraved plaque and a 5-year membership in NIP.CAPT Douglas Peabody, USN, the Commander of JIOC-Pacific, presented LT Loper with the accompanying Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal.
Expeditionary
On 17 January 2013, CAPT David Warshawsky, USN (Ret) represented the Naval Intelligence Professionals (NIP) Foundation Committee and presented LT Lewis H. Edmonds, III, USN with the NIP Rear Admiral Thomas A. Brooks Award as the Expeditionary Duty Junior Intelligence Officer of the Year during a ceremony Dam Neck, VA. The award consisted an engraved plaque and a 5-year membership in NIP. CDR Joe Johnson, NEIC Commanding Officer, presented LT Edwards with the accompanying Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal. Also in attendance were LT Edmonds’ wife and son.
